The Well: MBL News from the Source
The Marine Biological Laboratory is using its PressForward funding and support to launch The Well: MBL News from the Source, a publication designed to give students an opportunity to engage with the scientific community and the public. Using RSS feeds, blogs, and social media sources, The Well connects faculty, researchers, students, and a broader public audience with major news, conferences, and discussions in the field. It will also give students and scientists a platform for publication and communication.
The Marine Biological Laboratory’s mission is to link and gather researchers, faculty, and students in the biological sciences. MBL Communications will use this new publication to provide a central resource for relevant content from Woods Hole, as well as from field sites, research institutions, and universities around the world.
The Marine Biological Laboratory attracts accomplished scientists to its facility at Woods Hole every year to work on long-term and short-term research projects. Through The Well, the Marine Biological Library brings this spirit of communication and convocation online, taking on the challenge of connecting students, scientists, and the extended (and extensive) MBL community outside Woods Hole.
We look forward to the launch of The Well later this year. Follow our blog for news about publication launch dates and more Pilot Partner Profiles.
